Our source servers are now running a plugin; sm_report. This plugin allows players to report problem players through their consoles instead of needing to alt-tab out of game and report via IRC.

Admin Applications Open
Mon, 12/25/2006 -- Snake-NFo

NFo is now accepting admin applications for all of its community servers. Applicants must show that they are:
Quote:
Mature
Trustworthy
Dedicated to playing 14 hours a week
Able to idle our IRC channels
Be a server regular

To apply please visit #nuclearfallout on GameSurge and message Snake-NFo`away, if you are unfamiliar with IRC you can find a tutorial here.

Applications will be denied if you are not idling IRC, haven’t been a server regular in the past, or we feel you don’t fit the above descriptions. Applications can take upwards of one month before we make our decisions but feel free to periodically ask about your status. Other things we look for is people who put an effort to report problems in the servers either via amx_report or in #nuclearfallout. Also posting suggestions in the forums helps as well.

New Community CS:S Server

CPL LA | NFo HyperAccelerated 500FPS | 100Tick
cal.nuclearfallout.net aka theserver.nuclearfallout.net (64.94.100.44)

This server has been around for quite a while as a rental server under several different owners and several different names and has been very popular in the cs:s community. Instead of letting the server be shutdown NFo has decided to keep the server up and running and fold it into the community.

#Nuclearfallout

I wanted to take this time to encourage regulars on our community servers to start idling #nuclearfallout. The most common misconception is that this is a channel for people who rent NFo or that people in this channel are supporting a company when in fact it is there for members of the gaming community.

Why Idle?
1) Community support is what keeps these servers up and running. Without your support the servers would be taken down.

2) Get to know others in the community better including other players and admins of the servers you frequent.

3) Server changes, maybe that round time is way too long or ff should be turned on. These kind of changes can be lobbied for in #Nuclearfallout.

4) Maybe even make admin yourself one day. Most people assume that because we advertise that we are looking for admins all they need to do is apply and we will pick them, this isn't the case. We need to get to know you better before giving out that kind of power and this is the only way to do so.

If you need assistance using IRC you can find a tutorial here
